"Statistically, the probability of any one of us being here is so small thay you'd think the mere fact of existing would keep us all in a contented dazzlement of surprise."
-Lewis Thomas, The Lives of a Cell
This is a mobile Festival sponsored by Sage Femme and the local communities where the festival takes place. Panelists, lively audiences and filmmakers all contribute to make each festival a unique experience.
Highlights in a MIFF include premieres, sneak previews, docudramas, and feature productions. Producers, directors, activists and leaders in the healthcare professions who attend make each event a rich source for information.
In the United States, nearly one third of all babies arrive by cesarean section. Yet, the CIA World Factbook ranked the US 45th in the world for infant mortality. Some think there is a better, safer, less taxing way to give birth. These people will be at MIFF screening new films, sharing important research and giving gentle, time-honored tips to ease the next generation onto the planet.
At each MIFF, there are interview opportunities with those who have a positive and informed understanding of the important issues facing families giving birth today.
